What is a chemical peel?

Chemical peels are helpful for acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. CA Aesthetics uses the Mesoestetic range of chemical peels, which are safe for all skin types.
What to expect during your treatment:
After completing a full consultation, the skin is cleansed and prepped. Next, a chemical solution is applied to the treated area, which may cause some tingling depending on its strength. The outer layer of skin will peel and after the redness fades, and you will be left with a brand new youthful glow.
Good To Know:
To achieve the best results chemical peels typically require 5 to 6 sessions. Chemical peels can be done twice a year (a 6 month break between grouped sessions).
In the week leading up to your appointment, avoid the sun and simplify your skin care. A soap-free cleanser, a fragrance-free moisturiser and SPF 50+ are all you need. Make-up can be worn as long as it does not cause irritation.
On the day of your appointment do not shave the area to be treated, and do not wear make-up.
Aftercare includes avoiding the sun and keeping a gentle skincare routine. You can wear make-up as usual.
